Tony Cooke is a musician from Hull, East Yorkshire. He writes songs, sings and plays
guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica, flageolet, recorder, keyboards,
drums and percussion.

Tony often works in schools and nurseries, singing the usual children's songs and
using the guitar and classroom instruments. He teaches singing, guitar and
recorder. Basic mandolin and ukulele are also possible. He also writes songs
with children when asked to and an example can be heard on the MP3 jukebox. To

Tony also works with jazz bands, sometimes singing, sometimes playing guitar or
bass, in a quartet or larger group.


Recently,Tony played bass for the Northern Theatre Company production of "Oliver" at the Middleton Hall, Hull University. He also played for a revue, featuring songs from "Oliver", "Grease" and "A Chorus Line".  

You may also see Tony at folk clubs, open mic and acoustic sessions and the like, in and around Hull, Cottingham, Beverley, Wetwang and further afield.                                        


Tony is available for the following:

Work in schools and nurseries as a solo artist  whether on a one-off basis or regularly.

For functions, including parties, weddings etc. as a member of a musical group, singing and playing jazz standards, popular songs, dance music etc.

To sing and play guitar or bass, when required, for music groups, shows, revues etc. He is also available to play the other musical instruments listed above, when appropriate.

To teach guitar, recorder, bass, mandolin or ukelele, to beginners and intermediate players.

Session Work: Tony is an experienced studio musician who can read music.

Any related musical activity.


Tony is multi-lingual. He has a degree in German, with Swedish and some Dutch and is fluent in French. He also has a little Spanish and Italian. If you need someone to translate or even sing in different languages, please get in touch.
